Animated Board

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 3, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of AnimatedBoard, both the website at animatedboard.com and the application at app.animatedboard.com. By creating an account or using the service you accept them; if you don't, please don't use AnimatedBoard. AnimatedBoard is operated by Soluciones Educativas Digitales, S.L. ("we", "us"), whose details are in our Legal Notice. Prices and the minutes each plan includes are on our pricing page and are not repeated here.

The service

AnimatedBoard turns a script into a whiteboard doodle or animated story video made with AI: our AI proposes how to cut the script into scenes, draws each scene, narrates it and assembles the video. Styles, voices, languages, features and limits change over time, and what is available to you depends on your plan, as the pricing page shows.

Your account

To use AnimatedBoard you need an account, and by opening one you confirm that:

  • You are at least 16 and able to enter into a contract. If you use AnimatedBoard on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind it to these terms.
  • The information you give us is accurate, and you keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at info@animatedboard.com if you think someone else got in. From My account you can sign out of all your devices at once.
  • You have one account. Opening several to collect free minutes is not allowed.

Minutes, plans and packs

AnimatedBoard works with a single balance of video minutes per account, shared by all your projects. Minutes are spent when our AI draws and voices a scene: each scene counts its length, with a minimum of 4 seconds (8 when its drawing starts from a reference image, such as a character, a style image or your own picture). The editor shows what an action will cost before charging it, and if the final count would be higher than what you accepted, it stops and asks again.

  • Free: everything that is only text (writing a script from an idea or a document, splitting it into scenes, rewriting a narration, the YouTube texts), scene previews, background music, exporting the finished video with its captions, and sharing it with a public link.
  • Each new account gets a welcome minute of video, once, as soon as its email address is confirmed.
  • A plan gives you minutes and free scene changes for each period, monthly or yearly. They are spent first and expire when the period renews or the subscription ends; they do not roll over.
  • Minutes from packs, the welcome minute and minutes we give you by hand never expire. They are spent after your plan's minutes.
  • If a generation fails, or our AI cannot deliver a scene, the minutes charged for what was not delivered go back to your balance.
  • Minutes have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.
  • To protect the service we may limit or pause generation, for example with usage limits per account or a daily limit for the whole platform. What such a limit stops before it is delivered is not charged.

Payments, renewal and cancellation

Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. The prices on our site include taxes, and the price and period of what you buy are shown before you pay.

Plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account: you keep the plan and its minutes until the end of the period you already paid, nothing more is charged, and minutes from packs stay in your balance. Cancelling does not refund the current period.

Moving to a bigger plan charges the rest of the current period straight away and adds its minutes in proportion. Moving to a smaller one takes effect at the next renewal. You can go from monthly to yearly at any time, and from yearly to monthly when the year ends. If a renewal cannot be collected, the subscription ends and your account goes back to the free plan.

We can change our prices for new purchases at any time. If we change the price of a plan you already have, we will tell you by email before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

Withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For digital content and services that right ends once we have started to provide what you bought with your express consent and your acknowledgment that you lose it.

Whatever the law says in your case, this is how we handle it: if you buy a plan or a pack and have not used any of the minutes it gave you, write to us within 14 days of the purchase and we will refund it in full. If you have used some, we refund the part you have not used, in proportion. After those 14 days, or when the minutes are already spent, payments are not refundable unless the law requires it or the problem was ours, in which case write to us and we will sort it out.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used. A refund removes the minutes it covers from your balance.

Your content

Your content is the scripts, documents, images, recordings and any other material you write or upload, and the instructions you give our AI. You keep all the rights you have in it.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host it, process it and send it to the AI and infrastructure providers listed in our Privacy Policy, only to provide the service to you; and to show it publicly only if you turn on the public link of a video. We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models of our own.

You promise that you have the rights to everything you provide, including the copyright, image, voice and personal data of other people, and that it does not break the law or the rules below. You are responsible for it.

Your script stays yours. Our AI proposes how to cut and illustrate it, and the narration of each scene is taken from your original text. The exceptions are when you ask our AI to write a script from an idea or from a document, and the optional closing scene at the end of a video: our AI writes those texts, and from then on the script is yours to edit.

The videos our AI makes

You can use the videos you make for anything, commercial uses included, on any platform. No plan, free or paid, puts a watermark on them. As between you and us they are yours: we give you every right we may have in what our AI generates for you.

AI-generated material can be inaccurate, and we cannot promise that it is protected by copyright or that it is unique: our AI may produce similar results for other people. Review every video before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish, including following the rules of the platform you publish on (for example, those on disclosing AI-generated content or realistic synthetic voices) and the laws that apply to you.

Our AI providers apply their own safety filters and may refuse a scene. What is refused is not charged.

If you turn on the public link of a video, anyone with the link can watch it, with its title and transcript. The page is not listed in search engines. Turning the link off, deleting the video or deleting your account takes the page down at once, but we cannot remove copies other people made in the meantime.

Your voice and voice cloning

"My voice" lets you create an AI voice from a recording of yourself. Only record your own voice, and confirm it before recording. Do not use cloned or AI voices to impersonate a real person or to deceive anyone. Your recordings are used only to narrate your videos and are deleted when you delete the voice or your account, as our Privacy Policy explains.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use AnimatedBoard to create, upload or share:

  • Anything illegal, or that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy, image or other rights.
  • Defamatory, harassing or hateful content, or content that incites violence or discrimination.
  • Sexually explicit content, and any content that sexually exploits or endangers children.
  • Content meant to deceive: impersonating a real person, fake endorsements, scams, phishing or malware.
  • Content that breaks the usage policies of the AI providers we use. They refuse some requests, and repeated attempts may lead us to suspend the account.

Using the service properly

You also agree not to:

  • Get around limits or payments: open several accounts for free minutes, or share an account.
  • Access the service by automated means, such as bots or scrapers. Our API is for our own application.
  • Resell access to AnimatedBoard, or copy or reverse-engineer it. The videos you make are yours to sell.
  • Probe or test the security of the service, or overload it.

Our rights

The AnimatedBoard name, logo, website, software, visual styles and the rest of the service belong to Soluciones Educativas Digitales, S.L. or its licensors. While your account is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything for it.

The service relies on third-party providers, listed in our Privacy Policy: an outage or a change at one of them can affect it.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access: maintenance, provider outages or technical failures can interrupt it. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change substantially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance so you can cancel before it applies.

Suspension and ending

You can stop using AnimatedBoard whenever you want, and delete your account from My account. Deleting it cancels any subscription at once, without a refund for the rest of the period, and removes your data as our Privacy Policy describes. The minutes left in your balance are lost.

We can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law or a payment problem such as fraud requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you the chance to fix it first. If we close your account because of a breach by you, we do not refund unused minutes; if we close it for any other reason, we refund the unused part of what you have prepaid.

Warranties and liability

We provide the service as it is. We do not promise that every video will be free of errors, or any result from using it, such as views, income or approval by a platform. This does not affect the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law, including the legal guarantee for digital content and services.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profit, income or data, or damage to reputation), or for how you use what you create or what third parties do. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it.

None of this limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service, the law or our providers change; the date at the top shows the latest version. For a material change we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies to your account. If you do not agree, you can cancel and stop using AnimatedBoard before then; if you keep using it afterwards, you accept the new terms. A change never applies to what you have already paid for.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you have a complaint, write to us first at info@animatedboard.com and we will try to solve it with you. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be submitted to the courts of Murcia, Spain, without prejudice to the right of consumers to go to the courts of the country where they live and to rely on the mandatory consumer-protection rules of that country.

General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy and Legal Notice, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a part of them is found invalid, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right at some point does not mean we give it up. We may transfer our rights and obligations to whoever takes over the service; you may not transfer yours without our consent. These terms are available in English and Spanish, with the same content.
