Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data AnimatedBoard collects, why, and how you can control it. AnimatedBoard is a product by Soluciones Educativas Digitales, S.L. ("we", "us"). If anything here is unclear, write to hola@animatedboard.com.
Who is responsible for your data
AnimatedBoard is operated by Soluciones Educativas Digitales, S.L., Tax ID B22499735, Paraje Flores Bonete, 30400 Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia), Spain. For any privacy question, contact us at hola@animatedboard.com.
What data we collect
We collect the data you give us directly and the data our systems generate while you use the product:
- Account data: name, email address and password (stored as a hash, never in plain text), or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
- Content you create: scripts, scene text and image descriptions, documents (PDF or Word) you upload so our AI writes the script from them, images you upload, and any voice recording you upload or record to clone your voice.
- Usage and project data: your videos, their status, render history and credit balance.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Support communications: anything you send us by email.
- Technical data: IP address and browser type, processed for security and to limit abuse, and the cookies described in our Cookies Policy.
Why we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide the service: turn your script into scenes, illustrations, narration and a finished video.
- Process payments and manage your subscription or minute balance.
- Send service emails, such as password resets. Payment receipts and invoices are sent by Stripe.
- Respond to support requests.
- Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- Meet our legal and tax obligations.
Legal basis
We rely on: performance of the contract between you and us (to provide the service you signed up for), your consent (for non-essential cookies, and for voice cloning, which you confirm explicitly before recording), our legitimate interest (security and fraud prevention), and legal obligation (invoicing and tax records).
Who processes your data on our behalf
To generate a video, the content of that project is sent to the AI providers that do the actual generation. Each step only receives what it needs, and these providers process it on our behalf:
- Google: sign-in with Google (only if you use it); Gemini, to plan scenes, describe the drawings and write a script from a document; and text-to-speech, for AI narration and, if you use "My voice", voice cloning.
- OpenAI: image generation and AI narration.
- Replicate: image generation when OpenAI is unavailable.
- Groq: transcription of the narration, to time the subtitles and the drawing.
- ElevenLabs: voice cloning, when it is the provider behind "My voice".
- Stripe: payment processing and invoicing.
- Brevo: delivery of service emails.
- DigitalOcean: storage of your images, audio and videos.
- Railway: hosting of the application and its database.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account (write to hola@animatedboard.com), we delete your personal data within a reasonable time, except for the records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw any consent you gave, without affecting what was done before. To exercise any of these rights, write to hola@animatedboard.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD, www.aepd.es).
Children
AnimatedBoard is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Security
Traffic to our site and app is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Your session cookie is httpOnly, so no script on the page can read it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you by email.
