What is a cookie
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser to remember something between visits, such as your session or your language. This page also covers your browser's local storage, which we use for the same kind of thing.
Strictly necessary (always active)
These do not need your consent because the site cannot work without them:
- animatedboard_session (cookie): keeps you signed in to the application. Lasts 30 days, or until you log out.
- animatedboard_session_oauth (cookie): protects the sign-in with Google against request forgery. Only exists while you sign in with Google, for 10 minutes at most.
- NEXT_LOCALE (cookie): remembers whether you prefer English or Spanish. Lasts 1 year.
- animatedboard-cookie-consent-v1 (local storage): your choice on this page, so we don't ask on every visit. Stays until you clear your browser data.
- language-banner-dismissed (local storage): remembers that you closed the language suggestion.
Analytics and advertising
We do not use any analytics or advertising cookie or script, so today accepting or rejecting changes nothing. If we ever add one, this page will list it by name and we will ask you again before it runs: a choice made today never covers a cookie that did not exist when you made it.
Third-party sites
When you pay, you do it on Stripe's checkout page, and when you sign in with Google, on Google's page. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies.
How to change your choice
Use the panel above at any time to accept or reject non-essential cookies; the change applies immediately. You can also delete cookies and site data from your browser settings, which signs you out and brings the cookie notice back on your next visit.
