Why people look for a Golpo AI alternative
Golpo turns a prompt or a document into a narrated whiteboard video, and it does that well. The friction is in how the plans are cut. Where the two tools work differently
Golpo is prompt-first: you describe the video or upload a document, and it writes and illustrates it. You can bring your own script (Golpo calls it Script Mode), but the product is built around generating from a brief. It is sold to companies as much as to creators, with Jira and Confluence apps, team seats and an API.
AnimatedBoard is script-first. Your text is the video: our AI only proposes where each scene starts and what to draw, and the narration of every scene is cut word for word from what you wrote. If you have no script yet, our AI can draft one from an idea and a length, or write one from a PDF or Word document; from then on it is your script, and you edit it like any other.
That matters on YouTube. Since July 2026 YouTube has spelled out that repetitive, template-based videos that can be easily made with AI don't qualify for monetization, while original AI-assisted work does. A video that says exactly what you wrote, with a drawing made for each scene, is the kind of authorship the rule rewards.
